Media Frenzy Global is seeking a creative, proactive and ambitious PR and Social Media Junior Account Executive to support its growing set of clients. Reporting Line: PR Director

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Creating various types of content including articles, press releases, media alerts, media rapid responses and other press materials
  • Curate weekly social media content calendars for the agency and its clients
  • Act as a social media journalist with identifying and researching new trends to integrated across the agency’s social media efforts
  • Support with building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging and audience demographic
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages social media audiences to engage and take action
  • Continuously improve social media engagement by capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices
  • Compile and continually update detailed media lists of local and national media
  • Pitch local and national media (via email, phone and social media)
  • Cultivate and maintain meaningful media relationships
  • Day-to-day communication with PR and social media clients
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
  • Conduct desk research and report on findings
  • Attend key industry and client events
  • Assist PR Director and Account Executive with client reports, presentations, and proposals
  • Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
  • Monitor, analyze and report on client/industry related news consistently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing or a related field
  • 2+ years of PR agency experience ideal
  • Social media experience required
  • Strong media relations experience required
  • Strong pitching skills required
  • Strong writing skills required
  • Experience in supporting social strategies to achieve client objectives
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Hootsuite and HubSpot
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
